Requirements
Becoming a surrogate is a significant decision that requires meeting certain criteria to ensure the health and well-being of both the surrogate and the baby. These are the requirements you need to meet to become a surrogate with Texas Surrogacy Center:
- United States citizen or legal resident
- Between 21 - 42 years old
- Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) below 33
- Have one or more children of your own
- Have a car or reliable method of transportation
- Not receive government financial assistance
- Not smoke
- Not drink to excess
- Not have a criminal background
- Not take any illegal drugs or drugs not prescribed by physician
Compensation
At Texas Surrogacy Center, we recognize and reward the dedication and commitment of our surrogates with competitive compensation packages.
You'll receive a starting base compensation of $55,000 for your invaluable contribution, with the potential for higher earnings for experienced surrogates.
On top of this, we provide additional benefits such as health insurance, compensation for lost wages, allowances for household and childcare, and bonuses for meeting certain milestones or completing the surrogacy journey within set timeframes. In total, both new and returning surrogates can receive benefits amounting to approximately an extra $10,000 - $30,000. The intended parents will cover all your medical expenses, lost wages, and any other costs associated with the surrogacy.
